Blue subframe........BLUE SUBFRAME!!!!!

Postby Caligula on Thu Jan 21, 2010 2:11 am

I dont care what anyone says. I wanted a blue subframe, so i made myself a blue subframe. Considering that i just dumped another $1000 into my M3 this past week, all on stuff under the car that you cant see, i wanted something to mark all the work ive done. Goal was to match the blue on my Turner Motorsports sway bars and lower control arms. Turns out Ford Blue is a near percent match. Reinforcements are from AKG motorsport.

I like the fact that you have done all this work and also left your mark. By just painting it black it would not reflect the true hard work done in setting up a great car

Honestly they could be improved, especially the rear is difficult to fit. I got mine with the adjustable poly bushings for free a while back, and have found them not to mount very easily and at too great an angle in relation to the upper control arm. Im considering replacing them with the old stock links. I noticed Turner has come out with a 3rd gen of these bars, so this may have improved.

Otherwise they are a great sized setup, plenty of adjustment, just very pricey, but worth it.

Very cool paint on the subframe. Pics of it from under the car, installed?

Blue subframe........BLUE SUBFRAME!!!!!

Is that high temp spray paint or powder coating?? I was going to go blue under mine, but it seems I am late. Red possibly? The coupe is CosmoShwarz now, and red will be a good match for the underbelly, I think...
