How do you bleed the coolant?

I have no idea how to do it... theres no bleed screw anywhere! Maybe I should make one? :eatpop

on e36 there is a small bleed screw on near by the reservoir cap. in e30s i assume it would be there as well but ive never workedo n a e30 so im not sure.

1. park car on incline or jack up front end

2. start car and turn on HVAC, setting heat to its highest temperature

3. open up and remove bleed screw and filler cap

4. begin to fill the reservoir with distilled water and/or coolant

5. continue until coolant bubbles begin to pour out of the bleed screw

6. rev engine and squeeze coolant hoses intermittently to force out more air

7. continue until you can add coolant without bubbles rising out of the bleed screw

8. replace bleed screw, then filler cap

9. drive around for a few miles and open up the bleed screw to let out additional bubbles, repeat until no air bubbles come out

10. for a more thorough bleed, repeat process once car has cooled

Thats weird, i looked on realoem but couldnt find a bleed screw. It looks like since the E30 has a separate reservoir, you just open the filler cap as the bleed screw.

E36s with a reservoir tank seperated from the radiator are also bled with the cap

e36 next to expansion tank and on the e30 its in front of the intake on the motor 8mm.
