Pre-Facelift Grill

Postby TT2K on Wed Dec 30, 2009 1:52 pm

Hi folks,

I have a 98' 318is and wanted to know if a pre-facelift (pre 96 i think?) grill will fit exactly the same or does it require mods?

Thanks in advance

Nope, the nose panel is different, more of a curve to it.

Does that mean it won't fit? or just looks odd? has anyone else managed it? if its more hassel than its worth i'm probably bet just blacking out the grill maybe...

Know this is old, but wasn't answered.

No, the grilles will not fit from one to the other. However, I believe the entire nose panel can be swapped and that all the mounting is the same. Nose panel is pretty cheap (around $200 new, unpainted) and is pretty easy to replace.

Doublecheck, but I do think that the nose panels can be swapped.
