Sunroof

My sunroof is acting like it did in the e30, it stops in the wrong locations. Do i go through the same steps as the e30 to reset it basically. close sunroof it its normal location, remove motor, adjust motor till its in the same spot, reinstall motor. drive happily!!!!

That is the common way to reset it, just manually move the sunroof to closed, then actuate the motor to full closed with it removed from the cassette, reinstall and your good. Another issue with these are the sunroof brackets that attach the panel to the rails on the sunroof cassette. You should be able to see if this is a problem from outside the car with the roof open
