Supercharged 328is?

Postby Snaglefast on Mon Nov 09, 2009 7:04 pm

I'm a big fan of forced induction and this section hasn't had anything new since Oct 15th. It made me a little sad so I decided to throw up a couple of pics. It's the start of a project anyway. I'll have more later. build from scratch with a Pro charger.

Supercharged 328is?

A supercharger with a front mount is rather ballsy but not impossible.

Any updates?

Supercharged 328is?

More to come soon.. I've searched around a lot and can't find any reasonable way to tune this thing.. Is there any other way besides sending the DME in or going to a stand alone?

Cool project, but Please, Please, take that M badge off the front. Don't make a sweet car tacky :p

DME tune is your best bet. Your kidney grilles say OBD1 so I'd contact TRM about getting a chip/MAF/injectors combo from them for your setup. Good luck!

If you know how to tune and want to DIY it, look into the AEM FIC. Much easier to do than you think...

The only thing to remember with wiring up the FIC is to not bother connecting the cam sensor and to wire up the crank sensor as a mag sensor. The crank sensor (only) will allow you to pull ~10* of timing which is plenty for low boost application.
