The Quarter Million Mile Club

Postby Caligula » Fri Jul 29, 2011 7:22 pm

I want to hear from all of you that have put at least 250,000 miles on their E36's. This is the most prestigious club you can be in, because by this time you have gone past the need for new cooling systems and suspension parts. You would have had to deal with all the major rebuilds and common E36 quirks, and still love the car enough to push onward past when most cars would be junked for parts. Post up your odometer pics and tell us the stories of the overhauls your E36 has been through.

great idea Caligula, but I don't think anyone's listening to the odometer part of things; including myself. I will share mine, but can anyone tell me what I should look out for at 200k mi. - motor wise?

Well it seems that these cars are completely ok with high miles, which is a good thing, as a high mileage car to me just means it's not a lemon.
