Recent update:

Had some piping left over from a project I did awhile back and decided to make a custom CAI. Bought some couplers from a local shop and used the cone that came with the car when I bought it. Decided to paint it to give the engine bay some flare.

Here's some pics:

Gave the car alittle deeper sound, no real noticable gains. Overall I really liked the way it came out and made my engine sound and how clean it looks in the bay. Plus it was a fun sunday evening project :)

you're missing a heat shield if you want to even feel noticeable gains.

I dont need a heat shield in the place its at. Its completely seperate from the engine down by the fogs. I also cut out my brake duct and made a ramp to push air up into the area where the cone is at so it is a true CAI

but you must cover the whole where the intake leads down to if you want it a "true" cai. also, that cone looks a bit small.

If its in your bumper, it will be fine since heat rises and you are sucking fresh air from the openings
