You could build one. I would actually build your engine abit before turbo.. get an s50 head and some forged pistions and rods then go for a turbo. If you go to bimmerforums theres alot of guys who sell packages. I personally like the top mount headers but everyone has their own style. Also I saw a guy on here that put a volvo intercooler in. It was huge and once you put the car back together it was soooo low key. Im going that route dunno if you like the flash of chrome but I dont lol.

Yea I was thinking of building the motor first but I wasn't planing on running that much boost. And if anything does go wrong I would then built the motor but for right now id like to see whats out there for a turbo kit first means I know what to shop for when it comes to internal parts. And yes I seen that post about the intercooler. That thing is huge lol

Yeah man ever since i saw that I have been set on getting one. If you want when I go to the yard I can pull one for you. I am going soon to try and find mine so if I can an extra just let me know and I'll grab it for you. As far as turbo kits are concerned I havent found any.. I havent really been looking that much to begin with cause I just decided to go turbo but like I said bimmerforums have some pretty good shit.

Ya if I was going to go with the sleeper status id go with that front mount but id rather go with a nice shinny aluminum front mount. I'm going to check out bimmerforums and see what I can come up with

http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/sh ... ?t=1690518 saw this... kinda expensive but you can take ideas from this and build your own turbo set up at half or 2/3 the cost

Piecing together one may be your best bet.

I thought the same thing, but around here you can get an intercooler kit custom built for starting at 400 bucks for a decent size core. and a custom built manifold for about 500. after that the rest of the stuff would need to be replaced from the ebay crap so a kit would be more or less worthless. So i'd start but piecing together stuff, forum whore yourself and keep your eyes open.

6 cylinder manifold
name brand turbo
wastegate
bov (blow off valve)
Injectors?
Fuel pump?
custom downpipe/exhaust
intercooler
some form of engine management

a few things I can think of, also take in to consideration new plugs and wires if you need to go a step colder with the plugs clutch depending on condition of the clutch/ power gain etc etc

Injectors will be needed. I suggest 24lb but people go higher depending on how much boost you want. Fuel pump you can keep but this also depends on how much boost you want to run.

How did I miss this thread. You will need larger then 30# injectors for any boost.

What about management?

you think so euro? I thought people were running 6-8psi on 24lbs. Management is needed but I am doing that at a local shop here in Socal so I havent really read up on whats good out there.
