Odd idle and warning lights?

Postby Chawietjes » Sun Apr 15, 2012 5:42 pm

I just picked up a 1998 328i convertible on friday, this morning while I was driving the check engine light came on, I slowed down and then the transmission light came on and a few seconds later the asc light came on too. I pulled into a parking lot to check things out and it would not idle down. It was stuck at 1500 rpm and as I finally stopped and put it into park the rpm's climed to 3000, so I quick shut it off and popped the hood. Nothing looked wrong no intake cracks, no odd fluids, no smell. So i started it up and about 5 miles down the road it did the same thing. I did a search and found nothing on these symptoms, so anyone have a clue? :(

I doubt you fixed the underlying problem, but ok.

Well they are back, pulled codes and came to be P1188, P1267, P0121. Drives fine but has a stumble at around 1500k. Replaced CCV a couple of weeks ago for smoking and it fixed that, I have searched alot, but to no avail... It is DINAN tuned from the PO. Help would be appreciated!
